From 8da92a8a73295fe3239124d26507c5cf0276ddab Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Fam Zheng Date: Tue, 12 Dec 2017 02:19:20 +0100 Subject: [PATCH 3/6] qemu-img: Clarify about relative backing file options RH-Author: Fam Zheng Message-id: <20171212021920.25231-1-famz@redhat.com> Patchwork-id: 78306 O-Subject: [RHV7.5 qemu-kvm-rhev PATCH] qemu-img: Clarify about relative backing file options Bugzilla: 1451269 RH-Acked-by: Stefan Hajnoczi RH-Acked-by: Peter Xu RH-Acked-by: Jeffrey Cody It's not too surprising when a user specifies the backing file relative to the current working directory instead of the top layer image. This causes error when they differ. Though the error message has enough information to infer the fact about the misunderstanding, it is better if we document this explicitly, so that users don't have to learn from mistakes.
