  DESCRIPTION:Project: Virtualization SIG\nChair: George Dunlap (gwd)\nDes

cription: The CentOS Virtualisation Special Interest Group ( virt-sig ) i

The current theme was archived some time ago, and no more gems are being produced for it. The way we have to fix current theme problems is overwriting the theme definition in the project itself. New gems are being released for a new redesign, still under development.

There seem to be a bunch of unrelated commits in this PR. I'd really like to merge it in general. Having to go to a separate repo to edit layouts for content changes is a barrier for a lot of changes.

The unrelated changes come from main branch (the staging branch was outdated). Once they are merged into staging, and a new MR be made from staging to main, those changes should not be visible (they are already in main). Only the ones related to layouts fix will be visible.

All content (.md files) and data (files under _data/centos/) should be managed in centos.org repo while layouts, includes, assets, etc. in the gem. What we are doing now to fix the current gem theme issue shouldn't happen once the new theme be published and used. There is no need to edit layouts as the normal content editing workflow. That's not the desired pattern.

Please note that, now, we have a problem with the current theme and the way I see/propose to workaround it is adding the fixed layout directly in centos.org itself, doing so overwrites the current (defective) gem home layout (that cannot be updated at the moment). The changes related to home layout we are adding to centos.org will be surely reverted for the new theme, to give presentation control back to gem and keep centos.org clean of presentation stuff (which is theme responsibility).
