Now that we're in the process of launching the new branding for the CentOS Project and CentOS artifacts, the word mark typeface with the current CentOS logo looks quite alien compared to the rest of the site.
While @areguera is working on preparing to launch the new logo, I'd like to ask the Board to allow him to use the new word mark typeface (Montserrat font) for the CentOS word mark in the current CentOS logo.
Personally, I feel we could do this now, but @areguera asked that the Board approve it. He thinks it's a great idea, but would not be comfortable with doing so without the Board approving it first.
Perhaps I am confused as to what specifically is being requested for approval. Is it the use of the font?
The board has approved, in a very blanket way, of the work that @areguera has done on the new logo, and asked that we proceed with its use.

@rbowen the approval was for a brand new logo but not for changing the font used in the old one, so wanted to be sure the board is ok with that too, considering they are two different things. The concrete request here would be: Changing the old logo font to Montserrat so it connects better with website content font.
I don't believe we specifically discussed using the new font with the old logo. However, the new font did not seem to be remotely controversial when we discussed it. Given that branding is sometimes a tricky topic, this should probably be discussed, but it would certainly have my +1.
Similarly, so long as it doesn't annoy the artwork folks or the trademark folks, I'm +1.
