Description
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
-----------
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
*tcar* exists to standardize frequent tasks inside the CentOS artwork
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
repository. Inside *tcar* script, frequent tasks are organized inside
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
modules.
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
When you execute the *tcar* script in a terminal, it requests you to
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
enter the absolute path of CentOS artwork repository in your
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
workstation. This information is required in order for *tcar* to know
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
where the repository directory structure you want to work with is
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
stored in. Later, once *tcar* knows where your copy of CentOS artwork
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
repository is stored in, it initializes configuration variables and
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
global functions. At this point, it continues reading the command-line
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
arguments to retrieve the module's name, process common options next
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
to it, store module-specific options and initiates the module's
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
environment by executing the module's initialization script, based on
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
the module's name retrieved from the command-line.

Modules
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
-------
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
The *tcar* script supports the following modules:
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*prepare*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Standardize configuration tasks needed by your working copy (e.g.,
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    verify whether required packages are installed or not in your
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    workstation, calls render module to produce images and manuals in
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    the correct order). This is the first task you should run in your
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    workstation, just after downloading a fresh working copy of CentOS
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    artwork repository.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*render*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Standardize the way content is produced inside the repository.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    This function relies on configuration files to do its work.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Whenever you need to produce images, documentation or localized
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    content this is the module you'll need to use.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*locale*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Standardize the way translatable strings are retrieved from source
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    files and put into portable objects for you to edit. Portable
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    objects produced by this module are used by *render* module to
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    produce localized content. Whenever you need to produce the
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    intermediate files holding the translatable strings required to
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    produce localized content, use this module.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*tuneup*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Standardize maintenance tasks frequently run inside the repository
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    (e.g., reset written by, copyright and license information inside
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    shell script's top-comments; transform probably malformed HTML
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    documents into valid documents, and remove unused tags inside SVG
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    documents.).

The *tcar* script supports the following options:
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*--help*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Print script documentation.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c

    Print script version.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*--debug*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Run the script in debugging mode. This option is very useful if
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    you want to get a closer look to the way modules are opened and
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
    closed inside *tcar* script.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*--quiet*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Run the script quietly. This option reduces the amount of

    source files.
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
*--yes*::
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    Run the script in affirmative mode. This is answering ``yes'' to
Alain Reguera Delgado cdbf5c
    all ``yes or no'' questions. This option is useful when you run
Alain Reguera Delgado cec889
    *tcar* with the *--quiet* option.
